RYOTEI HASHIMOTO(料亭 橋本)

Historical   |   Interior   | Exterior

Ryotei Hashimoto, located in Nagasaki City, is a traditional Geisha and banquet establishment with a history of over 130 years. In its beautiful garden and traditional Japanese setting, shooting here is isolated by a large traditional wall around the perimeter that help keep modern surroundings out of camera sight and to help with external noise reduction. The wooden structure and irimoya style tile roof with ornate corner appointments, and large koi pond with a well manicured Japanese garden provide several exterior shooting options on site. The interiors are all original and to period. Smaller individual rooms and areas with a very traditional feel can be used for bedroom scenes, traditional dining, samurai meeting rooms, etc… While the large traditional banquet-style rooms overlooking the expansive garden provide the perfect location for Geisha scenes, etc… these spaces can also double as castle interiors. Nagasaki (Shippoku cuisine), carefully crafted to include a seasonal atmosphere, is available for both catering and scene inclusion. Shippoku cuisine is a fusion of Japanese, Western, and Chinese styles, reflecting Nagasaki’s rich history of cultural exchange with foreign countries.
